I think it exposed that Microsoft as a consumer brand is 100% toxic. People either hate them or laugh at them. There is no admiration like for Apple or Samsung.

Except those 10 other friends can’t all be playing the same copy of a game. They can be playing 10 different games at a time in your library. But if you thought you could buy one copy of Halo and do a multiplayer between you and all of your 10 friends, no dice.

I’m pretty sure market pressure will force Microsoft to ditch the 24-hour check-in IF you have the disc inserted. That seems to me a reasonable compromise.

Frankly it’s embarrassing for Microsoft to run these ads. the iPad has 300K tablet optimized apps. How many are on Windows 8?

What I read is that the Kinect can detect how many people are in the room and if there are too many it will shut off the movie because you are in violation of DRM.

Whether she truly saw those Microsoft employees on Reddit in the first place. This is the most damning part of her story, and it seems to be unverifiable. I asked her if she took any photos of the incident, and naturally her answer was no. Ultimately we have a situation where someone is recounting an experience of a few minutes in length, in the office of a client company, and I can’t think of any possible way to verify the story. All I can get is her testimony, I’m afraid.

Also they just alienated the entire US military. They are already on record as saying they will not buy a single XBox One console. They are switching to PS4.
