Same here, in Melbourne I’ve seen a few HTC One’s but I think I’ve only seen 1 S4, though it could’ve been an S3, I wasn’t completely sure.

Hopefully they can put it in a laptop as nice as that ultrabook.

Yeah, I’m not a developer so I can’t speak for that side of things. I’m actually just on my Air now on OS X and just remembered how great the trackpad is. Definitely one of the advantages of OS X, not wanting to reach for a mouse for casual use.
The trackpad on windows isn’t as great as in OS X though, so thats a little disappointing. That’s probably just because of the OS though.

I have a windows 8 boot camp partition on my Air, and it works great. I used it for gaming mainly before I bought a desktop for doing that but if I’m at uni with my laptop I much prefer using Office in windows so that’s really all I boot into windows for now. I must say though I haven’t used my laptop very much since buying the windows 8 desktop. I don’t really see any major benefits of OS X over windows, but Apple hardware is undeniably great.

I think the approach they used is so much better. No having to wait for manufacturers and then carriers to approve the updates just for minor, but useful, features. It really doesn’t matter if its 4.3 or not. The play music, multiplayer games and google now changes probably would’ve been enough of a change to warrant it being called 4.3 but it doesn’t really matter. All it means is that most android users can get the new features so much earlier..
It’s confusing when people are saying that they are disappointed that there was no 4.3 announced, probably because they won’t be able to justify the shortfalls of their nexus by having a newer version of android before anyone else.
I don’t actually use android currently, I’m an iPhone user but if by using their play store frameworks to push updates in a similar time frame as iOS updates, that’s great for any android user.

If you want it to be able to open your DVD player you should be able to program a button to that. I don’t have my One anymore so I can’t remember exactly how but if you have one of the buttons that you don’t use on the app like menu or something, you can reprogram it, once you find how to edit them it tells you to hold the button on your remote facing the phones IR blaster for around 3 seconds I think and then it should work fine.

I use this for all of my phones, and it’s great.. Also pretty cheap. The only problem is that because the One is so slow to charge even normally, it takes a pretty long time to charge with this, but that will be a problem with any charger.

I have no idea how they got that, the battery life on mine was not great. I could get around 3 and a half hours but then it still wouldn’t last me through the day.. I’ve gone back to my iPhone for now, iOS power management amazes me.

Yeah I want to know this too, the speakers on the one are great but even the lowest volume is a bit too loud at times.

I got the One yesterday and it is a great phone. It feels great in the hand, and it is lighter than I expected so it’s not actually too bad for one handed use. The two button layout hasn’t bothered me too much though sometimes if you don’t do the double tap for multitasking quite right it’ll end up going home instead, but it’s not too bad. Also the speakers are absolutely amazing. They are probably sound better and about as loud as my MacBook Air’s speakers.
I had an iPhone 5 for the past 5 months and I did try the nexus 4 for about a week but it wasn’t for me. I honestly prefer sense over stock android, I think it looks better and there is so much more functionality.
The keyboard is pretty great too, and all round performance has been excellent. I can’t comment on battery life yet as I have only had 1 cycle but it seems promising.
