I think it’s a good move obviously but “Yahoo!” (the correct spelling) has one gigantic problem …
It’s called “Yahoo!”
I think they should have done a rebranding as soon as they bought it. A company that old, with such an old an ridiculous name will never be cool until it rebrands. Never.
“Yahoo!” is a synonym for “Idiot!” It’s also an abrasive word that feels awful on the tongue. It reeks of Hillbillies and angry farmers holding shotguns. It’s uniquely American word, in a world currently focussed on globalism. It’s a backward facing word, a word from the past. It is a word that was only common in the USA in the 1920’s and 30’s that no one in any other country understands. It hasn’t been in common usage for almost a century.
To try and run a serious company with a name that says “we’re Idiots!” or conversely “our users are Idiots!” is … idiotic.

OMG, the very first sentence makes me want to rip my brain out.
“A relic of a past which no longer exists”?
What, as opposed to those pasts that still do exist? Or relics of say .. the future? WTF?!
“incessantly insists”? Seriously??
I learned how to avoid these kind of writers mistakes in Grade 8. Why didn’t you?
Can’t. Read. Anymore. … (dies)

ALL phones, including all Blackberries, use “QWERTY” keyboards.
All virtual keyboards are also “QWERTY” keyboards.
If you want to write about physical vs. virtual keyboards, at least use the right language.

Nope. It’s definitely 0.0002.
1% is 0.01,
2/100ths of that is 0.0002.

Exactly. No one, and I mean NO ONE, would say this at all unless they were actually Donald Trump. Even his closest companions and trusted friends make fun of the guy behind his back. He’s a joke and everyone knows it. Why would anyone be “jealous” of him?

Popped collars went out in the late 50’s and doing it for an official photo is especially “douche-y”. It reeks of “desperately trying to look cool.”

Some might think this is unrelated, but it’s a known fact that the head of Path is one of the world’s biggest douchebags and thinks he is possibly the smartest best looking dude on the planet by all accounts. When you’ve got a morally challenged douchebag in charge …
