I like the ad because they were very informative, but I didn’t like them because it seemed so different from other MS ads. I wish MS would define their brand better so that all of the ads can be informative and have the same “feel.” I’m sure they get there.

I’ll concede that the term, “an entire generation” is an overstatement. However, there are things that become such a part of popular culture they help to define a generation. Not everyone in the 80’s had a rubik’s cube, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t a big part of the generation. Instagram is a popular app used mainly by young people, and of course not everyone uses it.
Anyways, you’re missing the forest for the trees. Having any popular app is only a good thing for WP. People saying that Instagram is useless, is what my previous comment was against. Having new and popular apps has turned into social currency, and when potential customers look into to WP and hear that they don’t have certain apps it can create hesitation in the consumer because the become concerned that they will be left out of the loop.
I have not said, nor would I, that Istagram is all that WP is needed or that it the most important app missing. I only said that just because people think of Instagram as pointless or lame, doesn’t make it any less valuable. It be nice for MS and WP to say, “Yes, we have that too.”

Even lover by the time the blue update arrives. The other thing to consider is, how long should a company who says they want to be the definite number three smartphone OS take? You’re right it hasn’t been that long, but MS needs it a year ago.

Exactly. There’s an entire generation who use the app almost daily. Not having only hurts, because you are not forced to use it. Instagram being “lame” or “for hipsters” doesn’t make it any less valuable to a growing platform.

This hardware is available on T-Mobile. I think that Nokia is trying it have all the carries covered with a unique flagship phone. Not great, but if it gets the carriers on board then it can’t be that bad. Not a whole lot different with this phone, I agree, but if it’s the right size some might consider it over an Android or even the iPhone. Nokia has to bend to the market a bit, if they want to sell phones.

Well, it might allow Kindle gain more ground into children book, comic book, and text book markets. All of which I’m sure Kindles already has a presence, but it might allow them to make improvements and money.
