My point is that the network companies need to focus on improving their networks as a point of differentiation. Perhaps actually improving call quality past 1970 standards. Not this bullshit content app / bloatware / skinning differentiation that we are so accustomed to seeing. No one wants to use these apps and shit they create.

There are companies devoted to doing those things in their entirety and as a result create more compelling and cogent content and apps.

Verizon, focus on your core business: network infrastructure.
Creatives, focus on blowing our minds with everything else.

When will they learn that we don’t want them to make these things for us!?
