For a great example of an HTML5 publication check out the Financial Times’ webapp for Pad. Works just as well as the native app, if not better. As soon as I saw that, I knew that the idea of native apps for magazines etc wasn’t the way to go.
Way too many magazine apps on tablets and phones are just glorified PDFs, which makes for a horrible reading experience.
