It saves you from opening an app, typing in the recipient, etc. Basically, it’s faster and easier than doing things the traditional way.

I just got the invite as well. Very happy with the entire interface, as well as the new map graphics, and zooming out into space is neat as well. All runs as you’d expect it to and is generally pleasing to use

No issues for me. I don’t use my phone 24/7, but I’d say I am above-average for usage, and my battery routinely lasts 15 or 16 hours (i.e. plenty of time to get home and get it back on the charger before bed)

I still had Talk up until a minute ago, and the Play Store used to have just an Open button that would take me to Talk. However when I checked again after seeing this thread there was an Update button in the Play Store on my Nexus 4 and my Nexus 7, so now I have Hangouts
