And conversely, do you believe that the Government has the right to make anything it wants classified and often does to cover up war crimes and illegal activity? Perhaps there should be no accountability for anyone in our Government and we should just trust that everything they do is correct and just?
Don’t be so narrow minded to think that all information that is classified should be protected against scrutiny by the public.
N.B. I know that this sounded extremely facetious, but we have to view all of these issues in moderation. Do I believe that state secrecy is necessary for the good of the population? Yes. But, I also believe that people tend to act poorly when they fear no repurcussions for their actions and that is what classifying things haphazardly does. We’ve seen it with our military time and time again. We’ve seen it with the warrantless wiretapping of US citizens. Unfortunately, there is no way to arbitrate what should and should not be leaked ahead of time, but I have to believe that the people who are leaking these things to reporters are not doing so flippantly or out of self interest. They believe that wrongs have been commited that need to be set straight or that the public needs to know certain things for the good of the country.
End of diatribe.

Nice try, but the word you are looking for is complementary. That pesky “e” makes all the difference in the world…or word for that matter.

Do people really like this scene? I thought that it was incredibly dumb and entirely unnecessary. Beside the contradiction within th movie itself where Jarvis tells Tony he can only carry four people and then proceeds to carry a dozen, one thing that really stood out was the fact that if they were really daisy chained together like that, the first women would be carrying about a ton using just her one arm.

I don’t care how cheap you can do things in India, 7.4 million dollars doesn’t sound anywhere near enough. Also, services and some goods are cheap in India, but others are extremely expensive. Cats are one example. It doesn’t take much to have your own chauffer in India, but you are going to be chauffeured in a Honda because luxury cars cost nearly double what they cost in the USA.

What’s actually ridiculous, and very telling about the state of our Government and the fools that run it, is that the idea to dangle a man from a helicopter came before using a long pole out of a window.

So…they keep screwing without condoms and achieve the highest HIV rate in the world, beg us to sell them our best drugs for a pittance that we spent billions on researching, and then smoke the damn things. I think that the solution is pretty simple: make the medication more expensive. Since the sick patients aren’t using the meds now anyways, you won’t be increasing the rates of unmedicated sick people, but you will reduce the drug problem. I know it sounds harsh, but I’m just venting because this kind of article just infuriates me.
