I agree that this landing pose is over-used and unoriginal now, but to follow hour line of reasoning, we would have get rid of the ‘hero is beaten to a pulp but is okay ten minutes later’, ‘people flying through air during martial arts maneuvers’, ‘everyone knows martial arts’, and ‘cars alway explode and flip during car chases’.

For Babe-Watch, I’d wait for Season 5. That year had Michelle Forbes (Ensign Ro), Famke Janssen, and a young Ashley Judd.

As much as I love action movies/tv, it’s sad that Star Trek had to ‘evolve’ into a shoot ’em up show to try and cater to the changing tastes of the viewers. The morality plays left and were replaced by space battles.

I had high hopes for the new ST movie, but left disappointed. It felt like a bunch of modern actors putting on a skit based on Star Trek. I kept on thinking “Why hasn’t Kirk’s skull collapsed with all the beatings he kept getting throughout the whole movie?”

Come On, Josh. Tell us what Paul did to get this punishment!!! Oh, I mean, Assignment.

I understand your point, but why don’t you watch the whole movie before writing it off? You’re seeing a condensed couple of minutes of a 2 hour movie that’s been amped up to grab your attention. Perhaps the other 198 minutes of the movie are just long drawn out conversations in the mess hall?

Is Samsung going to give everyone a $100 refund for their troubles?
