In this corner… people who depend on their computer for work and care about that functionality being priority number one in UI design.
In the other corner… people who don’t run into/care about Metro’s deficiencies because they only ever do one thing at a time and care about looks more than functionality.
A comment thread 50-wide will probably spawn below this, completely ignoring the fact that certain input methods are best used with certain UI paradigms and directing anger at each other instead of its rightful place towards the manufacturer’s arbitrary choice that started this fight in the first place.

Yeah, because that’s totally not a valid concern.
Even people who develop software for this device have this problem- while it’s nice in theory (like the Windows 8 design philosophy), in practice… it’s not so nice.
