I don’t get it either…why the hell was it barely marketed and released only in very few parts of the world?? I know the phone would have sold very well if it was made available at it’s relatively cheap price worldwide, especially here in Africa where people Facebook A LOT and enjoy it. They don’t care about ads and whatnot either.
I really thought it would be the phone that would save HTC, given that Facebook has over a billion active users, potential customers to market to…even if a tenth of that figure bought the phone, it would be a remarkable success.
Are you that thick? He’s referring to eye movement, not head movement, and that’s a very valid point he’s making. It was my immediate reaction too when I first saw the headline – you certainly do not need to stare at a person you are recording…all you have to do is look away, or like he said, pretend to be asleep.
Speaking as a resident of one of the very few countries where BB still has a significant presence and people are slow to fully move to other platforms, putting up with otherwise unbearable frustration on their Bolds/Curves BECAUSE of all their groups/friends and social interactions on BBM, I can safely say that with this utterly stupid move, BB are shooting themselves in the foot. With a 12-guage shotgun. And you can take that as a REAL statement of confidence.
It’s like Microsoft urging Nokia to build Android handsets.
