Right. As long as it’s cross-platform and I can send and receive SMS, MMS, and Hangout messages from my Google Voice and Google Plus account, I’m all in.
For all of the flaws that iMessage has, it still has the ability to keep my friends from not needing to do a damn thing to stay in touch with me. With Hangouts, my friends/family need to install another app to stay in touch with me, which gives them just one way to use the app, which makes it less compelling.
The moment I can have an app that I can use to talk to EVERYONE, I’ll be a happy camper. I’m just dying to find a way to dump iMessage, because it really is terrible most of the time.
