Except that I can type on a keyboard without looking at the keyboard OR the screen.
Nobody can do that on a capacitive glass surface. You might have slightly better success with good surface bumps on the home row, using DVORAK layout, and a really good spell check algorithm.

I guess I also forgot to mention that the US hardon for Fast Breeder reactors, that didn’t pan out; and then the US forgot about researching different nuclear reactor designs.

I think he’s refering to the correlation of the US use of highly enriched uranium type reactors (also good for warheads), vs those types of reactors that can use less refined uranium.
I remember hearing that the waste from US nuclear reactors is still too rich, but useable for a CANDU type reactor.

Easy access to guns has an inverse correlation to economic difficulties? I’d like to see that correlation and causal explanation.

His point is that it’s easy to leave chicago to get a weapon, or for a criminal to bring one in. If the scope was wider (country wide), criminals would have more difficult acquiring new weapons. Of course, we can’t stop them from getting their hands on weapons that are already being trafficked.

They call within a couple minutes then you spend the next little while verifying ID before they even dispatch the cops, who couldn’t give a rats ass that your house is being broken into. I just read online from a security company in Albuquerque who say that stats show it takes 1-4hrs for regular police to show up. Their ‘special retired police’ respond immediately.

Besides being in an armed standoff, I don’t think any are worth dying for. Armed standoff assumes the person has a gun, and IS going to fire. My only option is to fire back or have no gun. Still my chances of survival are really risky.
Reducing the number of circulating guns dramatically reduces my chances of being at the wrong end of the barrel. So in conclusions, less/no guns is better, all the other situations are preferable to a statistical chance of death.
