I’ve just been trying it and it’s not perfect on the Nexus 7. Still lags and stutters every now and again and it’s especially noticeable when loading images.
I’m not a huge fan of Flipboard though so I won’t be bothered by it for very long. I prefer using RSS and Feedly, subscribing to RSS feeds that are of interest to me because I read the website or follow the blog. Flipboard doesn’t let me do that as well as simply using an RSS reader so it feels like yet another slew of blogs to keep up on, most of which the content isn’t specific enough for me. And Flipboard works horribly as an RSS reader to boot.
100 times this. I’ve found Flipboard experience on Android to be sub-par to what I’ve experienced first-hand on iDevices and there simply is no reason for the lag. So many other apps on Android are as fluid as can be on Nexus devices, why can’t Flipboard get with the times? I suppose we’ll see when 2.0 is available on the Play Store.
If there’s even a hint of persistent lag I will happily stick with RSS.
