I completely 100% AGREE with Vlad. The build quality was always suspect and once you purchase a Samsung product you are left with the product. Although I could get a battery replaced for a netbook I bought a few years back, the battery life remained 2h:45m and not the touted 11 hours. Their ads were totally misleading. Take Samsung’s first tablet – Galaxy Note – ran on FROYO which Google said was not compatible for tablets. Yet they sold 5 million or so. I really don’t get these consumers. One look at the plasticky build quality of their smartphones compels me to be wary of the hogwash that Samsung seems to hide so well. Three of my friends who “were” proud owners of the phones are now cursing Samsung five months down the line and willing to ditch any product that comes out of the Samsung stable … even TV’s. They’ll run well for few months, then go to dust and then, as Vlad rightly points out, you are left on your own with the device. I have nothing against companies who wish to skyrocket their growth through such doubt-rendering means, but if they get the millions of consumers then so be it. Who can stop the from being gullible. I admire HTC for their new range – the build quality is immaculate. I’d therefore wait for a better ONE series from them. As for me, I’d like to stay away from Samsung.
