I think it would be the same for capped date plan as well… AT&T isn’t the lone bad guy here. But it is a great example.

Hmmm… it still sounds too self-serving to Facebook. I understand there is real need for organ donors. The first place to look for a donor should not be Facebook, regardless of how many people use it.

I was a late comer to the smartphone/BlackBerry game so my first BB was a 8820, a solidly-built phone if I ever saw.

I can’t get over this rant yet: The wireless carriers are also dragging their heels when it comes to stopping spam text messages. The AT&T phone rep suggested I replied to opt out. My response to that was they would know my number was good. I also mentioned the fact if I didn’t have a text plan, AT&T would charge me .20 per text. If I replied to opt out, that would be an extra .40 to AT&T. This is why the carriers are dragging their heels, they are making profit from these texts, regardless if these are spam. The rep also suggested a webpage to customize my messages: http://mymessages.wireless.att.com. This is only to customize email spam. The site explicitly states that wireless numbers cannot be blocked.
