Seriously, the verge has been around long enough to add an edit feature….
I do agree that google maps has the most content right now though. Also, if you really want to get google results, you can still just google it, and with an integrated map app, you’ll prolly be able to click the address and have the app pop up with directions.

A lot of services are moving away from google maps because it costs too much. I wouldn’t be surprised to see open street maps overtake google maps in the near future. And with apple on board, that will only help accelerate the process.

It would certainly be nice to have an apple built maps app deeply integrated into the OS since you know it will be of high quality. But honestly I am very happy with TomTom, and have been for several years. It was well worth the $40 or whatever I paid for it back then.
It would be nice for new iOS users to not have to make the same investment I had to… Not that $40 was that much in the grand scheme…

Finally decIded to do it. Battery life is a huge deal for me and the fact that BT4 is going to be available pushed me over.

The biggest upgrades are software changes, and when jelly bean comes out later this year, you will have to choose between waiting 4+ moths this for Samsung to release jelly bean with their software upgrades or rooting it sooner and losing all that.
Not even worth watching the launch event for this disappointment.

Doesn’t the phone alert you that you can upgrade? And allow for a relatively seemless and quick one? It doesn’t seem that hard for even avwrage users to keep up to date, if their carrier/operating system were to offer it…

I don’t know how they do it elsewhere, but in America they don’t give you any discounts for not buying in contract. You still pay the same
Monthly. Since I have no intention of ever switching carriers unless I have a real reason to, it would be incredibly stupid to NOT buy a subsidized phone. Not to mention the international version lacks LTE support for American carriers.

So much anger here… Did people actually think that they weren’t going to do this? It would have been a shock of they DID use the same processor in America.

What if you had enough of 2011 back in 2011, and want to live in 2012 where LTE exists in every metropolitan area, and even many more rural areas now too?
