I don’t think the theater owners realize that all the movie studios have to do is release to the home market and cut them off completely. I’m tired of the high ticket costs, overpriced food and the worst is sitting through commercials before the previews even start.
Is it any wonder people are staying home more? It costs more for a family if four to see a movie than it does to feed them dinner at a restaurant.

No. They just grab them on the way to the email server. Unless you are encrypting all of your email it’s easy.

Anyone else remember when Yahoo went on a spending sore and bought up all those content companies? How’d that work out for them? This is a sad and pathetic attempt to become real net again. Here’s a fork. Stick it in them. They are done.

His job will still be to represent the industry he worked for and lobbied for. The FCC has not been about the consumers for years now. They do what ever is in the interest of the group they are supposed to be overseeing.

Yahoo’s problem is that the web portal is dead. Most everyone i know does not use a website exclusively anymore. This is the age of mobile apps. Smartphones and tablets have made a huge shift in how people interact on the Internet.
I use my phone or iPad to do about 95% of my online interaction. My laptop is used for heavy lifting or when I need more screen space.
Yahoo desperately needs to work on its mobile apps. I love what they did with the Flickr app this year but the website is so outdated and in need of a redesign.

All government budgets are padded a little. They know that they have to spent the entire budget each year even if they don’t need to. Otherwise they won’t be able to get the same or an increase the next year.
This is all a show to make the public think its worse than it is.

This is so insulting. Per the article they are to chop nearly 5 percent of their budget, or $42 million, this year alone!!!
What the heck are they spending the other 95% of the budget on!?
This whole sequester thing is such BS. The government is acting like a spoiled child that can’t get a third helping of ice cream. The spending cuts area a tiny fraction of the over all budget yet they act like it’s a 50% cut in funding.

If the FCC really wants to make broadband affordable for the poor, end the carrier monopoly that exists now. In most places you have one choice for broadband and that’s the cable company. If you are lucky you might have a second choice like Verizon.
The FCC has gone from protecting consumers to protecting big business. Ever since they let a few companies buy up all the radio stations it’s been down hill for choice and consumers.
