HTC One, just like the Nexus4 doesn’t have a SD card slot or removable battery. So not that much of an upgrade for what it would have probably been the same $300 markup from the Nexus4

HTC’s greatest counter to this would be to announce tomorrow that they will give customers a choice of buying the One with Sense or without it (vanilla) for the same price. No need for Google to hold their hand..

Hmmm.. I’m pretty happy with 8-10Mbps down speed on HSPA and the extra battery life coming from the lack of an LTE radio. Maybe if I would torrent stuff tethered to my phone LTE would matter a bit, but otherwise, nope.

Methinks that’s exactly why Goog “Nexified” the S4 rather than the HTC One. The latter would not have been that much of a departure from the Nexus4 (no SD card, no removable battery, lower spec’d CPU than the S4)
