Where exactly are you getting your information from? The photos he posted were from Anandtech. I doubt your source is more credible than his.

well then, that’s your opinion. :)
if you wanna use iMovie over Premiere Pro or GIMP over Photoshop, do whatever tickles your pickle, mmkay? I still won’t think they’re good alternatives to anything Adobe puts out.

if you want to use what you prefer, knock yourself out. stick to Pocketcast and I’ll enjoy Instacast. the OP asked for iOS exclusive apps, and I provided a list of great apps that I’ve found no equal alternative to on Android. do I care if you disagree? newp!
I’ve already used the alternatives you’ve posted along with the apps I currently use and have already made my decision which is better. Have you?
I don’t really care if people consider the list I posted or not. It’s there for anyone to look at and do what they want with it. I also don’t care if you prefer something else. If you don’t care to try Instacast, good for you. I’m not getting paid by them to promote it. But if someone asks me what I think is better, especially if it’s in a thread like this, I’m going to tell them.

they can be “replaced” if you have no other choice. Medal of Honor can be considered an alternative to Call of Duty, but it’s no Call of Duty. the point of praising exclusive apps is that they provide unique, high-quality experiences in using the app that no other app does. and when there’s a similar app attempting to do the same thing, it still doesn’t come close.
if found that Falcon Pro was as good as Tweetbot, if Sketchbook Pro was as good as Procreate, if the official Youtube app was as good as Jasmine, etc., there’d still be a reason for me to keep my Nexus 7. there’s a reason Android users still want an Android version of Alien Blue. there’s a reason why they want their version of Mailbox, even though Gmail is the obvious alternative.
sure, I’ll have veggie bacon if I don’t have a choice, but it’s no bacon.

so you’re keeping yourself from using one of the best laptops on the market because you have some beef with a brand name? okay.

simply put, no. otherwise, I’d still have my Nexus 7 and/or I would still be using Android as my daily driver and I’d be enjoying an HTC One right now.
or not. i dunno. i’m really loving iOS since switching over.

I think the only thing you need to consider is the fact that your function keys will be different on a Macbook. The Command key turns into the Windows key and stuff like “Ctrl+C” on Windows is “Cmd+C” on OSX. It’s just a matter of learning the OS and separating the two. Just remember to install Boot Camp drivers for Windows. You’ll know this if you’re following instructions on dual booting to a tee.
As for Windows performance, I don’t notice any difference. Macs do use normal computer parts anyway. FWIW, tech sites consider Macs as “the best Windows machines”.
I’ve used Windows for over 12 years and OSX for only 5 years. Unless you’re a gamer, there’s not a single Windows-only application that I miss. I’ve found that although OSX doesn’t match the quantity of apps that Windows provides, it still has an enormous amount of high-quality apps that completely blow away what’s available on Windows. It’s really no contest. Not only are they very well designed, but they’re also incredibly functional and useful.

They both serve their purposes. One does things the other can’t, or one does things better than the other. Having Siri and Google Now on one phone is great. I like having the best of both worlds.

the OP already said he had a jailbroken iPhone which he could customize in any way he wanted to. I hardly think a jump to Android will provide anything different.

if you really cared about a phone’s camera, you’d have an iPhone 5, HTC One, or Lumia 920.
