Don’t believe things, and regurgitate, until you have fact checked for yourself. And don’t open your mouths if you aren’t familiar with something first hand, like you usually do, I hope. Learn to listen more and stop being so presumptuous, and pompous, everybody knows life is tough, but everybody loses when you spray ignorant rhetoric about a designer disease that had been renounced by its original discoverer after much misdiagnosis!
I’m sad that most don’t realize add/adhd is a disorder to classify kids that don’t fit into the box so easily. The “problem children”, the hyperactive, thinkers, in many cases. They put them on drugs so they conform to the square cut box that will cause the least amount of “problems”
Attention deficit? To what? What are you supposed to be listening to? Boringly served, unoriginal, workbook education being shoved down your throat. Fix the education system to be more flexible in terms of learning types. We’re all humans, but we don’t necessary respond the same way when learning at such a sensitive age. Simply put, some kids need more attention to be healthy.
I was doped up for my “ADHD” as a child. Ritalin & Adderal… I stopped many times because I didn’t like to feel like a zombie. I enjoyed to be my energetic, creative self. Sure, sometimes hyperactive when under stimulated, but drugs weren’t, and aren’t the answer for these kids growing up now.
One on one teaching is something I can imagine would benefit a child with a MASSIVE craving for stimulus/knowledge like most ADHD kids do. Also, many ADHD kids are born to idiotic parents who let the TV raise their kids, and just like some of the people here, believe that ADHD is actually some disorder…
We as humans just have a poor understanding of these minds still is all…We’ve learned a lot over the years, but have only scratched the surface. The minds wants stimulus, but we can’t force drugs on kids who have a thirstier craving for stimulus. We should explore healthier ways of feeding it!
