What the fuck? How is that anti-competitive? That’s just being competitive by offering a good fucking service!
That sentence is like walking into a restaurant and taking them to court for giving out complimentary bread because it unfairly disadvantages the restaurant across the road for some bizarre reason

Microsoft should split Windows off into three distinct types
Windows Metro
Windows Business
Windows Personal
Metro will be for tablets and basically be Windows 8 but not a hybrid OS for both desktop and tablet. Metro only, and perfected.
Windows Business would basically be Windows 7 and completely dedicated to functionality over form, supporting old apps and hardware, people who don’t like change.

>Buy a qualifying PC worth $700 or more
With that kind of money you might as well just build a gaming PC for the same price and get a PC and a superior gaming machine in every way imaginable
You’d even save money since games on Steam are so cheap compared to overpriced console trash

Yes, it would be good for developers if everyone used exactly the same device and hardware. But that would be an extremely boring world to live in, where everyone has an iPhone.
I don’t see why they can’t just develop for Android using the most few most popular phones as a starting point. Develop apps for the Galaxy S and Nexus line of phones and you’ve immediately just targeted a market of tens of millions.

I love Steam and digital downloads but at the same time love having a physical box. Owner’s pride. Ultimate combo is a box that comes with a disc that basically gives you an unlock code for a Steam copy.
Case in point: Skyrim.
As a bonus I got a free map too.
