Because it needs a persistent cellular connection to receive texts and phone calls so WIFI is turned off to save battery while cellular data has to be on.

I only partially agree with this. Unless that video is only going to be shown on a phone then you are losing detail. Assuming you are shooting 1080 video if you ever play that back on a tv there the video will have to be scaled from its 1920 vertical pixels to 1080 meaning you are losing the detail that you were trying to keep.

I don’t understand why we there isn’t an option to shoot a landscape video in portrait mode. Most smartphone sensors have the necessary amount of pixels in either orientation to give 1920 × 1080 video especially new larger sensors like the GS4 13mp sensor in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Sure i wouldn’t look great when you are filming it but it would make the phone easier to hold and give you a superior playback experience.

Even if that happens people will still shoot video in portrait so I’m surprised that some of the larger video sites haven’t embraced it with a better page layout and appropriate ratio video player.

This isn’t an ultra book in any way shape or form. Intel decide what meets their ultra book criteria and I’m sure you need an intel core processor to meet the spec. Most ultra books are actually overpowered for a lot of their uses.

If I had to guess it looks like a watch face and the Roman numerals are associated with clocks. SO expect an iWatch as the new product category Tim Cook was talking about and everyone being disappointed that it wasn’t a TV.

Or it could be Mac Minis or Apple TVs stacked in a variety of colours. I expect a new Mac Mini and if there is no Mac Pro upgrade Apple may as well not sell them anymore. A watch is a safer bet though.
