By emphasizing on design too much, it makes The Verge come off a little too materialistic and catty. I typically cherish their reviews, but I feel that they’ve let the design of the device make the choice for them. I sincerely hope that HTC makes a comeback as they are the only real threat to Samsung at this point. This bodes well for both manufacturers, as competition spurs innovation. But I feel that HTC made the wrong move by not allowing expandable memory and removable battery. This seems to be a consistent concern throughout every review I’ve seen comparing the One and GS4.
