Even the fact that Microsoft has branded their UI as the “Modern” UI is somewhat ironic, given that the style they have used (the Swiss or “International” style) has been around since the 1920s, and has gone into and out of trendy style at least half a dozen times over the past 50 years.
So now it’s back in vogue, and Microsoft is certainly leading the push for that trend on digital devices, but there can be no doubt that, in five or ten more years, the “Modern” UI will be viewed as profoundly stale by the same people who are now viewing it with religious awe.

To be completely fair, she didn’t kill that person either. The house did, with the tornado as an accomplice. She wasn’t even driving the house at the time.
And, if the other person she did kill had taken a bath once in a while, maybe the water wouldn’t have affected her so severely.

That would be cool, but it would present a difficult challenge. Sadly, many viewers would not understand the distinction, and would either:
a) put their glasses on at the start of the movie, and then complain about the lack of 3D in the B&W segments, or
b) forget to put their glasses on when the color segment starts, and complain that the picture is blurry and “funny-looking”.
The only other option would be to put up a “put on your glasses now” message on the screen, which would totally ruin the moment when Oz is revealed.

But if they move to a customer-based subscription, as opposed to the current device-based plan, the number of allowed incidents would have to change, most likely to one or two per year. And I would be fine with that.

Your explanation is correct, and yet not so as well. Yes, bokeh refers to the aesthetic quality of blurriness, but as you even admit, there is good bokeh and bad bokeh. And both are the result of the way the lens produces DoF.
So, in this case, the lens used produced some rather disturbing bokeh. The guy in the background looks very odd.
Oh, and as a Canon guy, it’s good to see a Nikon guy acknowledge the superiority of Canon glass. ;)

This is not simply an app. It is a new product (with monthly/annual subscription fees). There is a huge difference between the two concepts.

Exactly. Each time there was a brief pause, a red dot appeared along with a wireframe “face” in yellow showing where a possible face had been encountered:

I’m not going to get into the fray over whether or not the Xbox One is ugly, but comparing a cheap, ugly Moto DVR to a sleek, sexy Onkyo THX AV receiver is, well, stupid.
I’m pretty sure that the Moto box isn’t brushed, cast aluminum like the face of the Onkyo. Rather, it is nothing more than plain cold-rolled sheet metal on all sides, i.e., the cheapest metal available for mass production.
And FWIW, it kind of insults the Xbox One to be compared to such a cheap box as well.

A service is still a product from the perspective that it generates revenue for a company and consumes that company’s resources. It may or may not have tangible (physical) output, but in today’s world that is an irrelevant distinction.
