The Nexus S got ICS the same month as the GS2 here in the UK. Turns out Google isn’t any faster at updating.

Turns out my Xperia Play won’t even get updated one fucking version!

But it works FINE on my phones. Why remove it? Hell, it can even be used on demand as you said so what does it matter? Its there when needed and not when you don’t. Perfect solution.

I honestly don’t see this rush to kill it so quickly when it is still the most prominent way to stream video on the web.

Then just block it until you need it. Better to have it there than miss so much content that uses it.

No by my logic CD’s, USB and SATA connections would be scarce and much harder to find than the thing they are replacing. Most of the media or hardware you use everyday would be still in that “old” format and you just wouldn’t be able to access it.

I have nothing invested in flash, at all. I don’t give a crap what is used to stream me video, until I can’t use those services. Then I ask “why can’t I view all this content I used to be able to?”

It is still FAR to early to be abandoning flash. Maybe in a year all that will change and you will argue this is the kick they need to change but whenever most of the media on the Web is in flash it is bonkers to abandon it.

I also see most people that complain about it use Macs. Flash works fine on my old netbook and my phone (Xperia Play). I don’t see the problem with it.

Flash support is being withdrawn FAR to early. I am pretty pissed apple won this fight as they did.
I seem to use flash content on my phone a lot (which I toggle on/off as needed). I recently sent my iPhone using mate a BBC article which had a video he couldn’t watch. I honestly assumed they had moved away from flash but nope, like many many other media sites they still depend on it.

Shame my next phone probably wont have it due to no more future android support. So with that in mind you better be DAMN sure windows 8 should support it. Even in its “my first puter” metro interface.

He can clearly use the phone so finding out a way to contact the owner and return their property would not be difficult. He chose to keep it, aka, theft.

I don’t think anyone would “take a new PC just for this!”.

I think people might buy windows 8 for a number of different features it has. Or upgrade their hardware to take advantage of things like this or hell, maybe even a little of both.

Edit functions are new to the web. It is only 2012…

Not using an SSD. I can have my browser and spotify open as quickly as i can click on their shortcuts.

I actually felt this one one of the reasons Paul started his offline experiment. How difficult it must be holding onto any religious belief with the wealth of information disproving it at every turn. Ignorance can only take you so far…

I don’t know, the new Rayman has me grinning like an idiot when I play it. So full of character and a very well made platform game. It looks utterly stunning too.
