Most of you who are defending this aren’t seeing the actual problem.
It’s not about recording random people walking by only, the very huge issue is that you can use this to record private interactions and use it against the subject you are talking to. This is completely illegal unless the second party is aware of the session being recorded.
You can’t really compare holding a phone to someone’s face with glasses that look as if they are not doing anything.

Here are some reasons why I believe this is not going to happen for Glass:
1. Price is too high for mainstream.
2. Voice recognition is not even close to real world use, which defies the way Glass is intended to be used. Don’t fool yourself into believing that this will magically be an accurate replacement of touch, even Google doesn’t believe so by them adding a secondary input option.
3. It is “not” a dependable device. You need to connect it to your smartphone and both should be working. (A fancier Bluetooth headset)
4. It uses WiFi internet only, so it needs to be tethered to your smartphone, the whole time!
5. You can only do simple tasks. No browsing, no watching videos or almost everything you expect it to do! And this is not going to change for a long time.
6. Battery life is 5 hours of real world use! That is a huge disadvantage, actually this is freaking lame and crazy to be acceptable from a device that you will be wearing the whole time!
7. Privacy issues: It records video without anyone knowing about it! That is a very huge issue and no matter how you defend the idea or make it sound like a normal thing this will be a disaster in human privacy.
8. You need to speak the commands out loud. I’m really mind boggled that Glass fanboys are not taking this issue as a problem. Picture it in you brain.
9. The device itself is not easy to pack. It doesn’t close like normal glasses causing many issues when putting it away. Extra carrying bag is needed.
10. No actual ear buds. You hear through another fancy technology that vibrates your skull, which works fantastically in quite areas and fails completely in loud city-life areas.
Over all, Glass is somewhat similar to the Google Wave story: Lots of enthusiasts and amazing potential but no one really needs it with the form that Google is presenting it at, hence I believe that they will fail and take it back to the drawing board and only then they might be able to bring something much more relevant or usable. A smart watch is the next futuristic wearable device, Glass is good for a Star Trek movie. :)

If WP doesn’t show any signs of gain, explain to me why Google believes that WP YouTube users are hurting content creators on YouTube?
If only few people are using WP then it shouldn’t be a problem that hurts content creators!
