As attractive as this Computer is, it still doesn’t match a Macbook Air in SOFTWARE!!
Windows still is a huge step down and App quality.
Also, no matter how good they make the hardware, the limitations of windows still remain, where they pay no attention to detail on how people actually interact with the device.

Damn, contracts on consoles? Tied in for two years?
Sounds familiar…. ;(
I hope consoles don’t go the way of carriers and smartphones….

These constant post about Steve Jobs considered/proposed/thought…. need to stop. It’s not how things turned out. There were always hundreds of options on the table, but its the ones he took are what mattered. It feels just like how these posts about how MS could have have made the iPad(Courier), and Google almost made a Blackberry like phone, but instead copied Apple. Doesn’t matter!!

I think this “fear” comes mainly because being creative and skilled at working with limits is no longer hard because “digital” removes those limits. The masters of our time feel like all the work they have produced in their lifetime, can now all be reproduced in one touch of a button. While this takes a great deal of power away from the creatives ones who’ve gotten specialized in their fields, it pushes the boundary of what “creative” is for the next generation.
While I agree that the “rawness” of real life skill is undermined by digital aid, but having a backlash against loosing your superiority is what is happening here again and again. It’s time to learn a new skill. Move on.
