They were late with Windows(Apple arrived earlier), they were late with Office(Word Perfect arrived earlier), they were late with Xbox(Sony Nintendo and Sega arrived earlier)…
Just look at rest of their products, same story.
Microsoft is always late. But catches up.
2 years and they are powering 30% of search results.

Within 2 years. Microsoft now powers close to 30% of search results..
Google with its 66% was launched 14 years back..
Also Microsoft is integrating Bing across its platform.. so Imagine the effect of its integration in new Xbox.. WP8.. Windows 8.. Windows RT.. Skydrive and other Microsoft products.

Such Bullshit
Goto Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Default Programs
And set whichever browser other than IE as default.
Doing so make IE completely disappear both in Modern and Classic environment.

VM is one part of the platform. Still the vm in question, Dalvik clearly deals with programs coded in java and converts into non-interoperable format..
Which I am arguing is part of Embrace Extend Extinguish tactic used earlier by MS.
But Oletros is arguing that Android is no compatible with Java at all.. completely different.. with different target etc.
Despite the fact, it still deals with Java language and apis, and is as Google’s Brian sweatland said "we are building a java based system: that decision is final."..
And if despite all that one continues to argues that even what Googlers are saying isn’t true.. then how can anything change such a view.

>Android doesn’t say it is compatible with Java
face palm
So Android is not compatible with the language(Java).. in which Android apps are written. ROFL
Okay here is a paragraph from Wikipedia article on Android :-
Android consists of a kernel based on the Linux kernel, with middleware, libraries and APIs written in C and application software running on an application framework which includes Java-compatible libraries based on Apache Harmony. Android uses the Dalvik virtual machine with just-in-time compilation to run Dalvik dex-code (Dalvik Executable), which is usually translated from Java bytecode.
source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_(operating_system)#Design
>Android doesn’t do that, because it is totally different from java platform
So it is totally different from the said platform(Java).. despite the fact dalvik is converting programs written in Java ???? Genius.
>Android can’t do that because it is not Java and it isn’t targeted to the same targets.
No one said Android is Java, but as Googler Brian Sweatland says "we are building a java based system: that decision is final." It is based on java.
While something very simple may be too complex for you to comprehend, they certainly do have same target considering.. unlike Google other Mobile phone firms from Nokia to RIM to Samsung to Motorola have in past legally licensed Java from Sun.. for use on mobile phones.
