I never said the leap is for gaming. But the Kinect is mentioned on The Verge far more often for its hacked uses than for gaming, so I think the leap could prove to open a lot of new doors for hackers and tinkerers. It’s quite a bit more precise than the original Kinect.

Apple has never offered choice on anything. That’s their thing. Android is meant to be open and tinkered with. If I wanted an iPhone, I’d get an iPhone. Not sure who HTC is appealing to with the One.

I haven’t seen an HTC phone IRL in years. It’s all iPhones and Galaxy devices. Unless something truly dramatic happens, I think HTC will be gone within 1-3 years. Aluminum isn’t enough.

Because I haven’t bought a new game in almost 5 years and have saved hundreds of dollars because of it. If I have to pay for used games as many tech sites are reporting, I’m just done with the Xbox brand. It’s kind of a good thing because it makes my decision for a PS4 much easier.

Not really. The leap is tiny and cheap. The Kinect as a gaming device is crap. For hacking and research though, it’s quite good.
