When his parents denied him a Super NES, he got mad. When they traded a prize Sega Genesis for a 2400 baud modem, he got even. Years of internet shareware and eBayed possessions later, Sean Hollister graduated to Tier 2 Geekdom with an internship at Wired Magazine. One recession and several video game testing jobs after that, he somehow managed to get hired by Joshua Topolsky. The rest is history in the making.

I don’t think the lack of backwards compatibility is a surprise, and I said so.
I don’t think the Xbox One always listening is a big deal, and I said so.
I worked with Tom on his piece about the Xbox One and Windows, and our intent was merely to explain that Microsoft needs to do better than say “it runs three operating systems” in order to impress us with how clever the architecture is. Optimally, running Windows means you’d be able to effortlessly put Windows games on the Xbox One and vice versa. That would be something to brag about. But that doesn’t seem to be the case.
I’m definitely looking forward to trying it.

If you’re going to watch Ender’s Game, do yourself a favor… don’t read any plot synopses. It won’t be the same if you know how it ends.
