Years of internet shareware and eBayed possessions later, Sean Hollister graduated to Tier 2 Geekdom with an internship at Wired Magazine. One recession and several video game testing jobs after that, he somehow managed to get hired by Joshua Topolsky. The rest is history in the making.

The primary use case for netbooks was the thing that tablets were best at, and Apple made the tablet cheaper and easier to use than previous ones. There are quite a few studies that correlate the rise of tablets with the fall of netbooks, and while that doesn’t mean that one necessarily caused the other…
