About Shadowbender
Me? Ha! What about me? Okay, I mean, if you really want to know...The name's Shadowbender. My friends know me as Andrew. Came to The Verge as a longtime Joystiq fan once news broke that many of my favorite editors would be staying for an extended slumber party over here.
Spoilers ahead: I love video games, and technology as a whole, of course. Cinema also lies in my heart, as I pursue filmmaking in my future. And what do you know? I'm a writer as well! It's a work in progress, but I would highly advise you keep checking out Flick 'N Stick, which is housed on a temporary Tumblr page, much like Polygon staying on The Verge for a while. There, I'll write my reactions to the games and movie industry, analyzing those two however I please, because I do what I want. I kid, I'm always looking to expand any potential abilities I may possess to the outer depths of mainstream games journalism, looking for work wherever I go.
Throwing modesty in the dump, I'm a nice guy. Maybe even a great guy. Take your pick, but choose your words wisely. I'm dangerous. Just picture me as the Liam Neeson of The Verge, and you've got it. But in reality, folks, I'm a man of peace, and not one to troll, but expect some sarcasm. And that's okay, right?
Bring on the good times here at The Verge, a place I've come to love.
