I don’t see why it’s a problem. EA engages in many practices that are frowned upon by gamers and results in some claiming they’ll “never buy another EA game”. EA isn’t on board because Nintendo wouldn’t use Origin for its network. People have been saying the end is near for Nintendo for over a decade. Nintendo makes great business decisions and has a lot of money in the bank. They haven’t been bleeding money for years like other companies. Also the 3ds has been selling like crazy and a ridiculous number of people will buy the next Pokemon when it comes out. There are some Wii U titles coming out this fall but even without those the 3ds and Pokemon alone can carry Nintendo like before.
Nintendo would be in a bad position if it had been bleeding money for years and now was in this place.
