Though in all seriousness, I think what the media gets wrong with regard to Keep is that this is clearly a iOS/OSX Notes competitor rather than Evernote so that should be what the dialog is centered around. The scaled back featureset is a feature, not a bug. Google already did an Evernote competitor which was actually released before Evernote itself: Google Notebook.
