And it isn’t even about services. Voice recognition will be useless in most other countries because of language. Should others speak english to Xbox One? Will it recognize bad accents? Probably not.
To me 80% of event was “meh, cool but not for me”. So much of the new Xbox just ain’t gonna work in most other markets.

Well it seems everyone is trying to be funny here. But on a serious note… I don’t think it would be much different. The thing about innovation and inventions is that there is not only one single idea. It is like, 7 billion people, most of them have seen, created Sci-Fi, have a dream of those crazy devices from Star Trek etc… It’s not like Steve Jobs alone or someone came up with touchscreen phone or tablet. iDevices were done in a specific way, design, quality, but either way, it would happen anyway at the exact same moment because other technology, parts necessary to build those touch devices was ready at the time. It was even widely reported (though now ignored fact) that Google was also working on touchscreen Android prior to iPhone’s unveiling.
I don’t think the future would differ much. Those devices may not have the impact iPhone or iPad had because of Apple’s marketing, but there would still probably be the exact same devices around. For some maybe… it’d be even better future. Windows would still have Start menu, desktop and OS X would still have pretty iCal……. and stuff. It would be different, but not majorly.
Just like something like Google Glass now seems cool and innovative, but seeriously – who hasn’t had exact same idea of creating that kind of glasses. It’s just that technology at the specific moment allows for it to happen and Google did it. And there are now many functioning clones, so someone else would have assembled something similar anyways.

5. Quality.
There is no objective way of deciding which app is good and no legal way of banning “the bad ones”, but gosh… the store is full of crap. I’m not saying there are no good apps – there are wonderful, awesome, epic apps, but then there are way more crap. Especially obvious when browsing Free categories.
I may use App store more if I could actually find good stuff. It’s exhausting to go through all the ugly crap and mostly, the only real way of finding good apps are through suggestions, articles on internet, google etc.
Sometimes, I may be looking for some specific task-doing app, and I don’t know how to find a good one. All we have is screenshots and descriptions and I end up randomly buying only to find the app is shit. And money is wasted and, AARGHSDGJ…..! Fix the damn store…
Which is the reason I rarely use it. 50 billion downloads because there is so much crap to randomly download…

People have tendencies of over-dramatizing things. These discussions remind me of yet another pointless “Apple is doomed”. In reality Apple will take “the risk” (there is no risk), change the damn ugly 5-year old UI, make it clean and fresh… And everyone will still update on the first day, buy millions of iPhone 5S’s and not give a damn, go outside and enjoy life.
So.. No. Absolutely nothing will change and everyone will like the new thing whatever it is. Just like always with Apple. Remember any Apple topic and how people react. These pre-change dramatic discussions are just… funny.

Easy… iPhone is so unbelievably amazing that we want more people to have this amazing extra-ordinary epic device and a chance to experience brilliant, amazing, unique iOS. So we made iPhone unbelievably cheaper, but still just as amazing. It’s lightweight with unbelievable battery life and .. amazing blah blah amazing blah… BOOM!

I, on the other hand, think we should stop these defending posts. I as a consumer want something different and new, and more functional (screw double-tapping home button for multi-tasking) and we should all demand more to make technology better. Stop looking for excuses for multi-billion company.
iOS needs to be reinvented ;)

It’s simple.

Very simple. Don’t care much about apps or app store, so these really are my most used apps.
