It only comes off as unnecessarily verbose if you’ve approached this article predisposed to disagree, i.e. if you think the idea of giving up/banning the internet is stupid/ridiculous.
That said, there’s plenty of adults here who have also come to the exact same misguided conclusions about the basis of tomica’s complaint. To presume that Tyler-Intek’s age has clouded his reasoning (in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary) is, well, wrong – in addition to coming across as condescending.
