I read down a bit first and its amazing how no1 has picked up on this…… 2006 is great, great idea fair play bbc, they prolly got the idea from planetariums across the world that have been doing this for years (I was at one in 1996)… fish-eye lense projected onto a big dome that people sit in, just like the back to the future ride in Disney world/land (florida)… the 360 iMax (also florida) and the big curved iMax that goes beneath you (Nasa…. I think)… that’s just my exp so I can imagine its an old idea… they are all built on the one before… I imagine Microsoft saw the bbc thing or at least other ideas… they just made it interactive with the room because they had Kinect (tho they were doing stuff with projectors and Kinect before like the arm thing or the holo prototypes)
I think my brain is going to start bleeding after this decisively neutral post…………
