Good point, I full well know the cost of “free” in this case especially given SGSIII availability in the US and eventual cost of the phone. What this shows is that, for Android at least, you can’t do exclusivity. Not like you cannot make something exclusive but more so exclusivity based on partnerships is quite bluntly a countdown until that exclusivity is circumvented.

…just in case you haven’t heard the news. Flipboard is (un)officially available on Android.

Working great on my Droid Incredible, really digging this! Pocket and Flipboard are too nicely designed apps.

Just one thing, how do you pirate something that is free? On iOS, Flipboard is a free app and on Android it’s (obviously no longer the case) exclusive to the SGSIII. I’m looking at the term “pirate” as in doing something that’s illegal or wrong.

Sadly no we’re not (Verizon customer here), Verizon’s Incredible LTE is a variant of the HTC One S NOT the HTC One X. If/when we were to receive a variant of the HTC One X, I would have a hard time overlooking it. Additionally, I’m sure Verizon would price it at $300 whereas Sprint and AT&T have their variants priced at $200.

$150 is perfect and anything over $200 is excessive. I don’t agree with this being $300, if true, but of course I can vote with my wallet.

Your assessment of Samsung’s presentation was spot on. As I watched Samsung’s presentation, I took notice and was a little weirded out by the phone watching you consistently. Honestly, I thought of images of Hal 9000 as they talked about how it watches your every move. I’m just not sold on what they offered, Samsung wasn’t convincing in its efforts.

Well after seeing Samsung’s GSIII unveil, Flipboard is coming to Android however it’s exclusive to the GSIII then may be ported at a later date to certain devices.

I’m by no means a developer but I have the Android Developer page bookmarked for those times when I want to use ADB on my phone. Their website appears to be fairly helpful in regards to your points 3 and 4:
http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/index.html
I gather from your post you are already familiar with this being that you refer to the Android Design page? Hopefully this is a step in the right direction for you.

Neither of my options incorporate a social network aspect so this isn’t an ideal substitute for Flipboard.

Like I said, I have no experience with Macs but…
1) I found this on a google search and I think it’s unlikely there is a utility to export from iCloud to Gmail: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3374387?start=0&tstart=0
However I found this as well: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/29040/how-does-one-export-all-contacts-from-icloud which also provides a link to this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4910
Does this look like it would help out? All I searched for was “moving contacts from icloud to gmail” if you want to see for yourself.
3. Wow, I just looked at flipboard and that’s…a nice looking app! I don’t think we have an equivalent as nice as that. Although a combination of Pulse to aggregate news and Pocket for reading news articles at a later date is what I personally use.

It may help to list out other issues (if any) that you have so we could provide an issue by issue solution. I can’t speak to iCal/Google Calendar integration since I don’t have a Mac so others may be able to help in that regard.
