Cancel your PS4 order and order an XB1. The XB1 seems to me to be the PS4 plus better Entertainment features and Kinect integration into games. Now that the playing field (in the eyes of Gamers) should be basically equal.

I’d say no. Games which require cloud computing will probably have it stated on the disc that if you want to play it, you will need an internet connection because of the cloud processing. However, I suspect in some cases, it may be only on Multiplayer games and Single player games will not require it. In the end, it’s probably up to the publisher of the game on how much they want to use the Cloud or not and to what extent.

This Sucks and it’s good. I like the fact that they’re meeting the needs of EVERYONE now that a 24 hour checkin is not required. I like the fact that gamers can buy used games from GameStop. Which I did once in a blue moon. However, I don’t like the fact that the 10 person share plan is being canned. I liked the fact that I could share my game library with my friends and family that live hours to States away. I believe if MS extended the 24 hour checking to a week or maybe a bit longer it would of been more reasonable. GameStop was good for buying used games, but they’ve been raping gamers by giving them little to nothing for their nearly new games and reselling them for tens of dollars more than what they paid the gamer. I will download my games going forward and never buy from GameStop again simply because I feel they’ve been screwing us for too long.
It’s too bad because the pain of mailing my discs to my friends and family is a major pain. I would of rather added them to my family share plan and been done with it. The PS4 fanboys screamed from everywhere that the XB1 sucked. They got their wishes, but I’m suspecting it’s not what they wanted. I’m sure they wanted the XB1 policies to remain as they were so they could taunt and be jackasses. They weren’t buying the XB1 anyways, but the internet fanboys won the battle today, but I’m afraid we as gamers may have lost the war. Funny because the blind fanboys don’t see it that way.

MS has a lot of questions to answer regarding the share plan. I am unaware regarding the need for XBOX gold to share. MS? I’ve read where when you share the game with a friend you can play it on your XBOX at the same time while they are playing. Since have the original copy on your XB1 and you’re sharing the other copy with a friend. However, your other 9 friends cannot play that game while you’re sharing it with your friend.
The Sony way of sharing is nice that you can share with 1 other person your games. However, it’s limited to 2 Consoles. Your other 9 friends are SOL unless you give them the physical disc.
The XBOX Family Share plan will work great for me because I have friends and relatives that I can add to my share plan that are hours to several states away. The PS plan simply would make that a major pain.

I see you spamming every PS4/XB1 article and the venom you have for the XB1 is incomparable. The blinders are clearly on when in posts that clearly say they are not planning on a major loss you twist it and spread rumors which aren’t true. You profess the PS4 is without any flaws real or perceived yet even the slightest rumor, speculation or flaw in the XB1 is truth to you and worth ten fold negative comments. It’s hard to believe someone so slanted. In fact, it seems too good to be “real”.
Cheers!

I’ve been a heavy gamer for over 30 years. Everything from the Commodore 64 and Atari 2600 to the XBOX 360. I loved it when gaming went from playing only single player to playing Doom with my co-workers on the company’s network after hours. I loved it when the original XBOX let me play online against my best friend from high school several states away. I loved it when they made the controllers vibrate to create a more realistic experience. I loved it when I was able to use Netflix and HBO Go on my XBOX 360. I bought a Kinnect to try out something new and different in gaming, and loved it as well. All are steps in the direction of the evolution of a console and gaming.
Do I like DRM? That’s a question that can’t be fully answered in a Yes or No. Do I know if publishers are going to impose the same restrictions on a game by game basis on the PS4? Maybe. Looking at Sony’s past history, I don’t know if I can fully trust them. Will MS adding DRM be better in the long run for other possibilities such as cheaper games or more games released as exclusives? We don’t know. Do we know if the requirement to be always connected is going to eventually mean better games because they can utilize the cloud better? Maybe. Do we know that gaming can be taken to the next level with Kinnect 2.0 on the XB1? Maybe. Will the XB1 family plan be the best way for us to all share games without having a physical disc? Maybe.
There are a lot of unanswered questions lingering out there on both sides that are not easy to answer and there is no “cut in stone” answer. The truth of the matter is, is that I like that the XB1 is making the Kinnect part of the console and pushing gaming further. The Kinnect ensures developers that it will be part of the Console they can develop towards. That means different and newer gaming for all of us. Something I’ve seen evolve over the last 30 years and I’m excited. Sony has a great console coming out and it will sell well, but I simply don’t feel they’re being completely truthful. I also don’t like the fact that they’re not embracing change in the industry. The easy route without evolving gaming seems to be to stay with the current system and simply upgrade the hardware. That isn’t changing gaming for the future, it’s holding it back.
Cheers!

It’s simple. MS is trying their ass off to catch up to Android and Apple. WP is a competitive OS, but clearly the App issue isn’t something that’s going to resolve itself without different strategies. Major Apps need to be on the platform, and let’s be honest…money talks.
I’m sure those that feel the need to prop up their OS over WP8 are going to criticize this move. They would rather MS do nothing and go away. Unfortunately, MS is doing something and I’m sure that’s not sitting well with the Anti-MS fanboys.

It’s simply called competition. If developer A can make good profits from game X, they may reduce the price on their next game Y because developer B is coming out with game Z. If they can get more people to buy game Y because it’s $10 cheaper than game Z and make the same or better profits this trend will continue until the competitive floor is established. A model to look at is STEAM.

How horrible, distrusting and evil they are for doing this! Sony would never do something like this! Makes me want to cancel my XB1 preorder immediately….

Kids love Dance Central. Me, not so much. I do like Kinnect Sports, so the Sports Rivals is on the list! I actually played the first Max Payne on the PC (also played the XBOX one) Loved both! It definitely makes me more interested in Quantum Break if it’s like Max Payne.
Now back to the new Bioshock.
