My point was the overall resources involved in the effort.
Software development is just the head of the 800 lb gorilla that is Google Maps.

While conceptually convenient as analogs, it’s important to note that Wikipedia required millions of man-hours to achieve critical mass and demands many thousands more annually by a volunteer army to maintain it, while it’s estimated that Google employs over seven thousand people to continually hone their Maps service.
I’m not just an anonymous naysayer, as I have used, contributed to, and support the principle of the OpenStreetMaps mission. And this may be a step in the right direction (you would certainly think so if you’ve ever tried contributing to OSM.) But it will take much deeper and wider participation to establish long-term viability.

J.J. Abrams and John Williams is less a prospect for collaboration then anticipation of an epic rap battle.

I experimented with this in February and learned 2 things:
1) It seems you would need to spend a not insignificant amount of money to realize any benefits,
2) And how you would quantify those benefits is entirely left to the user since, while it is simple, the system is essentially “dumb”: put dollars in, get ads out (there are impression/engagement metrics, but they don’t help guide any decisions that might be made with the data.)

Though the words “avian” and “bird” are being tossed about, it seems the focus (as mentioned in the article) should be on the chickens and ducks destined for consumption. So why hasn’t there been a push for genetically-modified poultry and fowl?
A better approach would simply be improved sanitary conditions but, pragmatically-speaking, how likely is that to be put into practice?

Most any clip of Tobias’ scenes from any of the previous seasons would likely elicit the same response.
Arrested Development is demonstrably rooted in vaudevillian and Brooksian humor, wrapped around a classic American sitcom plotting framework, with a modern, absurdist flair that keeps it (un)comfortably disconnected from our own universe. How the transparent, rice paper-delicate, fourth wall is maintained, despite the hand-held camera work, is beyond me.
