Every service matches that. Rdio and Spotify (the only real competition) let you do that.

I completely agree with the renaming file things. It’s so weird to me, but I got used to just pressing Cmmd+O. It’s actually kind of cool to be able to rename things quickly.

I run Windows 8 through Parallels daily for class and it’s wonderful. Mind you, I have a mid-2011 MacBook Air (base model with i5) and it runs smooth as butter. If you’re looking to switch, I think it’s best to get parallels so that you can run Windows applications over the OS X UI. It’ll allow you to keep the apps you have and still learn the new OS at the same time. As stated in the first comment, you’re going to have to learn the hotkey combinations, settings menus, and little quirks that would be different on Windows. I think that you should have no problem switching over with your approach. When I first switched to OS X I was a bit confused, but you quickly learn because of how simple they’ve made the menus.

Yeah, I just saw that in the video. Made much, much more sense. It’s a beautiful made video, by the way. You’ve got some serious skills!

If there was one thing on this post that I wish Apple implemented it would have to be the App Store. I would go NUTS if I could have Rdio, Amazon Prime, Ted, Twitter, and other apps on my ATV. I’m really hoping that this WWDC they announce something like that.
On subject with the post, though, it looks amazing! Very well crafted and thought out. One thing: for the notification banners that pop up, how would you work that out with somebody that only has the ATV remote? Would you just have them scroll up to the banner?
There are a few buttons (such as the “Back” button found on iOS devices) that I believe should be negated from the menus. The Menu button on the ATV remote should be the way to go (just so people like my mother don’t get confused looking for a back button on the ATV remote). I mean, I guess it makes sense if you scroll up to the back button, but I think that the menu button is a bit more efficient. Again, great concept!

It’s not Cydia like on iOS. It’s just the platform. So all developers would have to re submit (and potentially recreate) all their tweaks. So far I think Winterboard is already on there. Still pretty cool.

If you want another calendar application that has Natural Language Parsing try out Horizon. I think that it looks much better and it even tells you the weather for your days.

I’m assuming no, but they’ve probably been covering their story because they haven’t come out with an album for I believe eight years now. So it’s a huge comeback.

I think he’s talking about the act of spinning like that forever. You’d literally NEVER stop. Even if you’re dead. Unless, of course, you come in contact with another planet or figure that bends space enough for there to be gravity.

I had the same MacBook Pro and it was the same way. One of the biggest reasons that I switched to an Air. For some reason the Pro’s fans go nuts for no reason.

Won’t be carrying a lunch, and all of my books will be on my iPad mini, so that problem is solved. It needs to be big enough to hold a few notebooks and all of what I said in the post.

Twitterrific is the best Twitter client that I’ve used to date. It’s extremely well designed and easy to use. With push notifications it’s easily the best on for iOS.

I was using Mailbox for a while, but I hated the threading that they used. I went to the Gmail app for a week or two and then ended up just going back to the default mail app lol. Between the two, I would choose Mailbox.

I last a full day without problem (games, texts, music, Bluetooth connectivity, push email, photo taking, occasional web browsing). I once got two days of usage out of it. Unless you’re going insane with using the phone, you should be just fine.

Save yourself some pounds and get an Air with a lot of RAM. I have an Air and it performs like a champ. I genuinely don’t know why some people want the pro (other than hard drive space). For what you need, an Air is ideal.

I was waiting for this. I have one as well, and they’re extremely well built and easy to use. Best $15 I’ve ever spent on a watch.

I’m a student, so I take the bus since parking on campus is way out of the question. I’ve been wanting to take the route of just biking, but I feel like that wouldn’t get much done here in Florida. I’d rather not get to class looking like I just came from the pool. The bus is pretty convenient, we have about 50 (that number could be a little off, but it’s an estimate) routes that take us all over town (University of Florida/Gainesville), so it’s extremely easy to commute where I live.
