3D printers are already revolutionising rapid prototyping for large companies (Josh did a video at Microsoft for example), but these low cost 3D printers will bring this ability to the smaller company and into every design company’s studio. Its going to be great….!

I have sympathy for the app developer and the reasons behind removing as much explanatory text from their icons and app functions – text needs translating! Part of my job is writing user instructions for personal protective equipment for European countries – instructions currently translated into 36+ languages = nightmare.

No text and well thought through icons result in higher percentage successful usage by users who do not read English. 36x language variations of an app would be prohibitively expensive for all but the very largest of companies.
