True indeed the raw power of this device is exciting. However that is not what is selling them to the majority. Samsung has spent billions on marketing, more that HTC obviously even more than Apple. Their campaigns were great and strong and built a long lasting impression of the brand. HTC has a product tp sell
The original iP4 was great in terms of design back in the day, The GS3 wasnt. The iP4s was still leading the pack in terms of design on its lauch, the GS4 isn’t. Even though I dont use the iPhone even I could see then what they did with design was rather excellent. Again like most things in life it is personal prference, but every now and again many individuals (the majority) agree on something. It terms of the iP4 & iP4s it was a beautiful. I wasn’t bothered really. Reading many reviews about the S4 I am hearing the majority say a similar thing about the look and feel.
You indirectly answered your own question when you wrote “it’s the same” Also I believe if the HTC One did not exist the score would be higher indeed as the context would be different. Also the specs are expected from a device at this level, however in terms of the CPU Samsung should be given greater points.
I wouldn’t… that not hatred just a preference… I feel Samsung will monitor/measure those that really stick with the users in general and then evolve those and remove the others… in a way if so, that’s a good strategy.
Possibly… and I hear your point… however the Techno Buffalo reviewer of the S4 (John) said almost the same thing. This was also echoed in the Engadget mobile pod-cast (04.26.13). Maybe the point is for them, is that Its not that it is plastic but more precisely the type of plastic used or finishing applied it used.
