I think that is a pretty common load time for the Netflix app on other platforms running the similar user interface. Hulu Plus takes about that long to load as well. In general, after you launch Netflix you are going to watch a TV Show or Movie which means staying in the App for 30 minutes or more. A few seconds to watch commercial free content doesn’t seem like a big deal.

Nilay, who are you using as your ISP and DNS? My new Netflix app is pretty snappy. It does take about 25 seconds to load but navigating the UI is very fast. I’ve heard that a poor DNS server could cause performance problems. There may be a slight delay when pausing a Netflix video thats streaming. Overall the new Netflix is working great for me.
