Is anyone really surprised about this it is a thermonuclear war after all, it really wouldn’t surprise me to see them claiming to own web searches at some point if they haven’t claimed it already.

I think I’m just the only one who posts here about the issues I have had to be honest, people rush to defend Google so fast I’m sure others just don’t bother because of that but I’m happy to point out problems I’m having although I have had maybe 3 issues at most in the past not all that serious either.
Ironically I’ve had similar reactions on IOS boards as well in the past for pointing out problems there I’d say I’m more a fan of tech in general than loyal to any one company although it may appear I favour Samsung which I probably do at the minute.
Hangouts thing is a non issue now it seems to be working fine for me today although I still don’t think I’ll use it as I don’t like the whole idea of video calls and it doesn’t offer me anything new.

I’m going to throw this out there I’ve had a lot of success with the app called “Deep Sleep Battery Saver” I’ve had it on my phone and I have it on my Nexus 7 it’s still on my Nexus 7. On my phone it boosted my standby time to basicly a full week and on my Nexus 7 it greatly reduced the way it drains on standby which was my biggest disappointment with the device.
Now I will admit I don’t have it on my phone anymore as I like my phone to have a constant internet connection even with the screen off and I’ve already got really good battery life there but if you don’t mind setting the app up to check data periodically I don’t think you would have a problem.
One minor bug I’ve found on the Nexus is it sometime fails to re enable wifi when the screen comes on again I just took wifi control away from the app in it’s settings and use the Nexus default Wifi off setting. Apart from that I’d say it’s definitely a battery saving app worth giving a try if you need more life.

I’m in Belfast in the UK and it never shows a single card ever on my devices or on other peoples devices I’ve tested trying to troubleshoot. From other forums and reading other peoples posts about the same issue I’ve pretty much concluded this is probably a location issue but it’s pretty lame any random weather widget will tell me the weather instantly yet Google somehow can’t work it out.
Anyway I’m not posting about google Now again I’m sick of people rushing to defend what is to me a useless product better switched off.

Google Now doesn’t work for a lot of people outside of the USA it should be considered beta at best.

I did get a video call from it yesterday just appeared on my phone when I wasn’t expecting it so I guess it does work to some degree, had to decline the call though because I wasn’t dressed also really video with no obvious option to disable it. What’s wrong with normal messages or just voice not everyone wants random video requests at all times of the day.
I’ll try my self test again at some point in case it was a fluke occurrence.

I couldn’t even successfully get it to send a message, tried it on two Nexus 7’s both on different Google accounts signed into hangouts on both tablets and tried sending a test message between them.
The result was being told the other account didn’t have hangouts and would I like to send an invite despite me being able to see it logged in fine in front of me.

I think people would be fools to rule Asus out they do have some great products lately I’d love to see them get into flagship phones a bit more competitively I think if they had the motivation they could actually give samsung a contest.

Mock all you want but skype at least sends my messages although I do use it nearly exclusively for calling, whatsapp is really my go to message app. I was hoping hangouts would replace it truthfully but if people don’t even get the messages then it isn’t even worth consideration.
At the minute I’d go to Yahoo or back as far as ICQ or even IRC over Hangouts if need be.

Yet I consistently find it better than stock 4.22 on my Nexus 7 in features, battery life, and strangely enough stability, now maybe I’m influenced by having touchwiz first I’ll admit but stock has yet to click with me I just find it meh.

It’s the fact it’s very stiff that makes it a bad material for portable electronics it will pass the shockwave straight to the components with a good chance of creating a fault instead of absorbing the impact away from them, also as it’s not flexible it will dent and bend, also in the worst case scenario you can replace the polycarbonate cover easily and cheaply.
Only the cheaper bikes are made from aluminum these days the good ones are all made of composites and carbon fibre.

I really can’t see that argument at all I can’t think of even one thing on the S4 that hasn’t been improved over the S3 on top of that it’s smaller has a bigger battery and a bigger screen.
