It would be cool if next-gen arcade games can easily be ported to Windows 8.

I don’t think consumers would care that it runs the NT kernel. We will hear more though at build. They only had an hour and people are upset they didn’t talk more about games. Imagine how bored and upset people would be if they spent more time talking about the OS tech.

Agree every couple days there is a Glass article. It is almost like they are being sponsored by Google or something. I don’t remember any other new product get that much attention.

I didn’t see that until you mentioned it: http://www.theverge.com/2013/5/21/4352596/the-xbox-one-is-always-listening.
Glass will be doing the same thing… It also has voice commands. Wonder where the article is by the verge on that. In fact I would argue Glass is worse because the camera is in the hands of people not a company and there is no indicator it is recording.
Google or MS might just use data to serve you ads which is annoying and can be intrusive. A person though can do anything with the data they recorded.

There may be other versions of the console that support different technologies or different methods of getting Live TV. Here is a quote from their blog:
Our goal is to enable live TV through Xbox One in every way that it is delivered throughout the world, whether that’s television service providers, over the air or over the Internet, or HDMI-in via a set top box (as is the case with many providers in the US). The delivery of TV is complex and we are working through the many technologies and policies around the world to make live TV available where Xbox One is available.

Listen to this interview around the 8 minute mark. It is an interview with Chief Product Officer Marc Whitten.
He talks about Live TV and keeping existing partnerships that the 360 has with cable providers and continuing/expanding them with XBox 1 but also using HDMI pass through to address the broad audience and providers they presumably cannot negotiate with. They are going to be continually working to add new ways for users to connect their TV as the quote above states.

That is what I want lol! The ability to talk to anyone not just people on XBL through the xbox. Also taking the convo with you on the go if they replace XBL chat with Skype. Or even calling people up mid game through skype to pick up pizza on the way home!
