People are saying that Microsoft is holding Nokia hardware back. That will be true only if one is underestimating what Microsoft did with the release of windows phone operating system. Windows phone 8 (OS) is not simply the next iteration of windows phone OS like Mango was to windows phone 7.0. Microsoft completely change the kernel architecture as well as many aspects of the OS. it like a completely new windows operating system with the same feel of WP7.0 when it was first released.
I think that Microsoft will also push the limit of the hardware with the next release of windows phone or after the blue update. The windows phone team was really under the constraint of time and this is the reason they did not introduces the notification center or whatever it will be called.
In terms of app, Microsoft is doing much better compare to windows phone 7.0 and 7.1. In fact, we have seen more crossed-platform release more than even before and many big names are coming. With the market share of windows phone continually increasing after each quarter after quarter, this will attrach even more developers.
Sure, Microsoft could do better than what they are doing right now, but the truth is they are doing much more better then a year and that progress.

good design and Android are not made to be together. Android on a Nokia phone would ruin the design of the hardware.

I don’t buy products based on the verge or any website score. I usually have a set of requirements on what I expect when I buy any products. if I was listening to the Verge, I really don’t think I would be enjoying my surface Pro and my Lumia 920.
I like the device because I can get a cheap unlimited plan on T-Mobile and use the phone as it was intended to be used.

As much as I enjoy my Lumia 920, this phone looks pretty slick and it is even when it will be available on T-Mobile for less then $500 off contract. That might be enough to cut my tie with ATT. I like the idea of unlimited data so that I can stream my music through Xbox, use Hulu plus, Pandora without being worried about any data limit.
The phone is also LTE ready which means I should get good speed even on T-Mobile network. I like the interchangeable slate for the wirelss charger which add to the flavor of the phone. I can see myself buy of a few of the covers as long as they are not too expensive.
lighter device with unlimited data is my requirement for any new phone. I hate the idea of being too limited with data which really stop me from using the phone like it was intended to be used.
The smart camera software is pretty cool too. that actually will replace some of the current photo app available for the Nokia phones.

I really like it although I am got used to Xbox music. I mean, since the release of Xbox music, there have been constant updates and improvements and I expect the same when Windows 8.1 comes out. Still another way to shop for music. I will be using for sure.

What problem that Chrome OS?
Because Chrome is made by Google and it runs web app does not necessarily mean it solves a specific problem that we are all dying to fix.. As for as I am concerned, any computer without an internet connection is no good use anymore and with Microsoft account, you practically have everything save in the cloud even installed apps. so my question to you is what exactly Chrome OS solve that is really a big issue with current operating system?
Please, don’t tell me is made by Google because not everything google does is actually useful!!!!

10 hours battery actually mean roughly 7.5 and 8 hours battery life. A windows machine running x86 applications, metro apps with touch screen, ICore processor giving 7.5/8 hours battery life is great. I mean my current VAIO F series is giving me a 2.5 hours battery life. that almost 3 times more battery life. This is game changer for PC.

the 10 hours is what caught my attention too. 10 hours with ICore5. I mean, imagine windows 8.1 with a device with slick design that can last 10 hours. I am not even due for an upgrade since my computer is like one year old. but I will definitely buy another one so that I don’t have to worry about power outlet ever again.
I cannot wait for these based-type Haswell devices.
