technologically it’s not that different from, say, the E-P3
I don’t really understand the meaning there. It’s vastly superior to the E-P3 in any aspect – new sensor, new IBIS, new shutter, new controls, new screen… Whether it’s worth 1000$ (body only) is another matter, but the tech is top of the line for MFT. I’m tempted, mostly because I’m not satisfied with the high ISO performance of my E-P3, but if this drives E-M5 prices down I may go for that instead, since the differences from that are a lot less profound.
