I totally agree about the tipping feature on the site. There have been so many times when I’ve posted a story The Verge editors have missed never to see it picked up. It’s either broken or they’re apathetic.

It would be very useful if they can actually implement this. Seems a bit utopian to be honest- I’m a bit cynical when it comes to any publisher of anything doing something good for the consumer- and it’ll probably be an uphill battle…
I am also of the view that till such a time that eBooks can be standardized, they will remain inferior to the real thing. It’s preposterous that I can’t directly drag and drop a book bought on the Kindle Store to the Nook and vice versa.

I sent them an email asking if the deal entailed international expansion (Emails are in the source link). I got an answer saying they would look into it if I could provide the name of the publication I work for. Since I don’t represent one, I was wondering if someone who does cough Vlad Savov cough could ask them and clarify :).
