Actually The Verge has consistently reported that subscription streaming services are threatening to Apple. Pandora has a completely different radio-style model that Apple is widely believed to be adopting soon, hence Apple threatening Pandora but not the likes of Spotify, etc.

I agree. I like to use a complete ecosystem even if it means I compromise on a couple things. It’s just a better experience over all IMO.

The samples of water contain a lot of hydrogen
Let me guess… twice as much hydrogen as oxygen?

Am I the only one who wishes these were published as eBooks instead of apps? Maybe I’m OCD, but I like my apps with my apps and my books with my books (in an app like iBooks).
Perhaps Apple’s iBooks publishing tools just aren’t as good as its app creation tools?

I’m really conflicted between my dislike of gun manufacturers and EA. I’m all for gun restrictions, but this seems like EA taking advantage of the anti-gun movement to copy others’ stuff without paying.

To me, the reason the Android situation is so bad is because the carriers are fighting consumers AND manufacturers. Android OEMs like HTC WANT to give their customers the opportunity to install custom software but AT&T and Verizon won’t allow it. Apple and WP manufacturers aren’t trying to provide this, and consumers know there’s no point in asking, since you can’t download a custom iOS or WP ROM. So that lock-down isn’t as bad because it’s not defying a better system.

They might want to think about limiting that to Galaxy S devices…. I mean, should the Galaxy Y or Galaxy SuperDuper Awesome Extreme 4G really be designated as secure?

This is very anecdotal, but FaceTime has definitely become a household name among people I know. iMessage has caught on to the point where some people get annoyed if you DON’T have an iPhone. I can’t remember the last time a non-techie complained about a phone not having Android Beam or some Samsung feature.
Whether you like Apple or not, it seems like only its features become “mandatory” for consumers.
